I know I have spoken about the benefits of being able to save money at the dollar tree store before, but I feel that I need to again.
I am telling the truth when I say that I am not affiliated with them in any, in fact I wish they did have an affiliate program, I would definitely sign up.
I save so much money by taking my weekly or bi-weekly shopping list and going to the Dollar Tree before I head to the supermarket. I actually met someone this week who does the same thing, (hi, Erica) we agreed that you can save a lot of money by doing this, as long as you stick to your list, for the most part.
This week I compared the ounces of the Sargento shredded cheddar cheese from the Dollar Tree, to that of the ones in the grocery store. The one in the Dollar tree was only 1 1/2 ounces less than the one in the supermarket and it cost $1.89 less. So buy getting two of the Dollar Tree cheeses, I was able to get more ounces for less then the price of 1 at the grocery store.
That is my kind of savings. When I add up what I save, which is easy because I always check the prices of the items I just purchased, with those in the grocery store, there are some weeks it comes to more than $30.00.
Now take that money and put it away for a rainy day. They do come and sometimes the last for a long time.
