This actually saved them money, if they were to have rented two seasons of this show on DVD they would be looking at more than the cost of having Netflix every month. Sometimes when you think something may cost too much money to have, it could actually save you money in the long run.
Yes, you have to wait a bit longer for shows to come on Netflix, but that is not such a problem when you will be saving money. Netflix also puts an offer out every now and than that lets you try them for free for a short period of time without locking into anything, that is a great savings.
This is a good way to save money, you get to watch shows such as The Vampire Diaries without having to pay to rent a DVD, plus there are plenty of other great movies and tv shows on there also. This is good for people who already spend money on renting older movies or shows.
