Summer vacations are something we are all thinking about this time of year, but the cost of having a good time can put a damper on the fun. Discover how you can save some money and still have a terrific vacation by going camping this summer.
Camping is a great vacation for a family, it does not as much as staying in a hotel and you can find areas that have many things to do right in the campground or camp somewhere you can be close to other activities.
The next few weeks I will posting ideas for wonderful camping vacations, plus ways that you can money on simple things you may need.
For great inexpensive way to pack your sleeping bags without having to buy those vacuum seal bags just use a large garbage bag. Roll up the sleeping bag as tight as you can and place it in the garbage bag, take your vacuum cleaner hose and place it in the opening, hold the bag tight around the edge of the hose and suck out as much air as you can. When the bag is compacted quickly and carefully pull out the hose and seal it with a rubber band. You can use a small car vac to do the same thing when your trip is over and you are headed home.
Garbage bags also make great quick raincoats. Just cut a hole for your head and slip it over your body for great protection.

Love the tip for the garbage, I hate wasting money on those espensive vacuum bags. I tired this and it works as long as you get the tie or rubber band on the bag fast. Thanks this saved me a small fortune. More money for fun, something we all need these days too.
