The best way I found to get free, like new Halloween costumes for your child or even yourself is something most people don’t do anymore, TRADE. That’s right, trading is becoming more and more popular these days because most of us are trying our hardest just to survive the rising cost of living and we are falling back to doing things they way our parents or grandparents did them.
When I was growing up it was normal to have “hand-me-downs”, to get the neighbors bike, toys, clothes, or costumes (in good condition) when they outgrew them. We did not have the kinds of Halloween costumes that the kids wear these days when I was growing up, but we still had free, like new, Halloween costumes because we traded with family and friends.
These days the costumes kids want are extremely expensive, even the ones that are not elaborate can cost over $20.00, and if you need Halloween costumes for more than one child, trying to buy them can ruin your budget for the month. When you are trying to survive the cost of living in this rising economy, you need to look at options other than having to pay for costumes.
Many people have Halloween costumes sitting in a closet or box that either, do not fit anyone anymore, or no one wants to wear them any longer, and that makes them perfect for trading with other people. If you are not quite sure how to begin finding people to trade with, or you feel shy about asking someone if they have Halloween costumes to trade, just tell your family, friend, or neighbor that you read about a great way to save money and get free, like new Halloween costumes that you want to try this year. Most people are struggling with money now, and are happy when someone finds a way that can help them save some and this idea can save everyone a lot of money.
Costumes can always be mixed and matched for a great original look, let the kids have a look and you might be pleasantly surprised at what they come with.
